Shepard Fairey has linked with NY urban art legend Cope2 for his latest Artist collaboration. The collabo is wisely named the OBEY x COPE2 Collaboration from OBEY CLOTHING. Cope2 was notorious in the 90's for his colorful & stylish throw-ups all over NYC. He started before the 90's but that's when he was everywhere. Cope2 transformed the NY urban landscape back when graffiti was not considered an art form. Now that graffiti is international, legendary artists' like Cope2 get to shine. The world has embraced the HipHop Culture from the music & fashion to art. Urban art is in the Galleries. Thanks to great artists' like Cope2.

Busta Rhymes drops this dancehall inspired track featuring Nicki Minaj for his upcoming album. It seems fitting that he selected Nicki for this track, being that they both have caribbean backgrounds. Not to mention that they are label-mates. It has always been difficult to successfully combine Dancehall & HipHop. Many have tried but most have failed miserably. Do you think Busta & Nicki pulled it off?! Let us know what you think. Hit us up on Twitter & Facebook.

BMW has collaborated with Italian styling house Pininfarina, to create the outstanding Gran Lusso coupe. They decided to the complete unveiling at the 2013 Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza in Italy. This V12-powered concept coupe is a unique styling exercise at best. We have seen this show before. Remember the BMW CS Concept back in 2007? The super full-sized four door coupe they claimed was going to be the flagship vehicle, but wisely backed down because of the financial crisis. BMW was not the only automotive company to effected by the financial crisis. A lot of great concepts got scraped because of the same reason. BMW has implemented a lot of the styling elements of the CS into modern BMW models still to this day. There is something a little different about this one though. Its not that radical of a concept vehicle. Most of the technology Incorporated into the design of the vehicle is currently available.

Oldboy is a remake the 2003 South Korean film Oldboy. This American thriller film is directed by Spike Lee and written by Mark Protosevich. The original film was based on a Japanese manga of the same name. However this film is creative & quite different in its own right. Joe Doucett, an advertising executive is kidnapped and held prisoner for 20 years in solitary confinement. He is then suddenly released into an open field with a hand full of cash. So he does what any self respecting guy would do & goes on a mission to find the person responsible for his imprisonment. Only to later discover that his life is caught in conspiracy & turmoil. The film has a great case with stars like Josh Brolin, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley. Oldboy hits theaters this October.
Nike's newest Jordan 1 offering is the new Air Jordan 1 ’89 “Toro”. The sneakers are mostly fire-red with a lot of intricate styling ques. A red mesh overlays the “Nike Swoosh” & black background. One of the more interesting details of the sneaker. The ankles boast a speckled grey Cement print with the “Air Jordan” graphic on it. The dominant red theme is further broken up by the white mid-sole & Grey bottoms. The flat, black shoelaces tie it altogether. Jodan’s Jumpman silhouette is embroidered in black thread for that aesthetic appeal. However at the end of the day, these are still Retro. Never the less they are Dope. Look for these to drop this Saturday, July 13th, at select Jordan Brand retailers. Check out more pictures after the drop.
It seems like the Nike "Galaxy" Foamposite has inspired even the top designer of the world. The Galactic-print has been seen on everything from hats & t-shirts to book bags. It can be very difficult to re-imagine & design pieces based on classic patterns & prints, while maintaining individuality. However, Maison Martin Margiela has done just that.

Introducing the new wave in urban transportation, The Scroorer. This is a super efficient & modern lifestyle city scooter with minimalistic design cues. Its based on the classic vintage scooter of yesteryear . Best described as a fun & nimble vehicle that aims to move urban riders more efficiently thru the city. Scrooser is a mobility solution that does not require a license or a helmet. While this does not solve traffic congestion, it will get you around the city effortlessly. When riding in Eco mode, one battery charge will last an estimated 25 days in the urban environment. I know you can see yourself cruising to the local Cafe on this awesome piece of moving art......
